RE: Problem with IBM TCPIP for DOS 2.1.1.2 and IBM PC DOS 7.0

Problem: When trying to add a default route, either during tcpstart or aftrwards, recieve
the message "route you are trying to add already exists" Verification proves that the IP
address and subnet mask are defined correctly and that it is possible to ping, telnet, etc
to machines within your own subnet, just not to machines beyond your router.
The problem does not exist when using previous versions of DOS.

Answer: Addressing tables within DOS changed slightly with PC DOS 7.0 As a result, a new
DOSTCP.SYS file is required. The file size of the current version should be 12374 and the
date will be from 1995. Simply replace the old dostcp.sys in the bin subdirectory with
the enclosed new file.
