To listen to this WAV file, you may use one of the following three
methods, provided you have a sound card and appropriate driver:

(1) If you have OS/2 MMPM/2 (multimedia extensions) installed, you
may use the Digital Audio applet (located in the Multimedia folder)
to load and play this WAV file. This is the recommended method.

(2) If you have OS/2 MMPM/2 installed, you may also use the PLAY
command from an OS/2 command line, as in:

     PLAY FILE=WATCH.WAV

(3) If you have Win-OS/2 or Windows with the Windows Multimedia
Extensions installed, you may use the Media Player applet to load
and play this WAV file.

We do not recommend playback of this WAV file using any PC speaker
driver. We do recommend using a secondary amplifier to provide
accurate control over the volume level during playback.

This archive is freely distributable. The views expressed are
solely those of the participants. This program is produced by the
Chicago Area OS/2 User Groups, independent of IBM Corp.

This pilot edition of "OS/2 Watch" is an experiment to determine the
feasibility of "broadcasts" over OS/2 BBSes, the Internet, CompuServe,
and other online services. As a first attempt, we are not entirely
satisfied with the technical qualities of this recording. A second
edition of this program will not be produced without favorable
feedback. We welcome all your comments. Please listen to the "How
to Contact Us" section of the recording for details.

Sincerely,

The OS/2 Watch Broadcast Team
