1.0 INTRODUCTION
==================================================

MP3 PurISTiN is a user interface for LEECH CD-DA grabber and LAME
(Ain't an) MP3 encoder...

There are lot's of GUI Front-ends for grabbers and so on... but not
much usefull text mode programs... That's why I wrote this one. MP3p
suits me fine and I hope that you find this usefull also.

If you don't have grabbers or encoders to produce mp3 tunes you should
get these two at least:

Leech: http://www.sprong.auc.dk/~motr96
Lame:  http://www.sulaco.org/mp3

OS/2 executables can be also found from hobbes archive
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu

==================================================
2.0 INSTALLATION and USAGE:
==================================================

Just unzip this package to a directory you like...

leech and lame have to be in a directory which is in "path" statement
otherwise this script won't work at all.

Prefer to leech and lame manuals for the installation guide and options
they have...

Just run MP3P from a directory you want to grab and encode files...
UI is quite selfexplaining... just try what works and what doesn't

MP3P will ask you some questions like language...
Then it will give you default options, they're quite good but
if you like to change those options answer yes to that question.
(if you answered yes there will be many questions asking about
bitrate and quality settings. Prefer lame's docs for their purpose)

...MP3P asks you after that if you want to change the filename and
after that the cd-rom drive letter.

From that list you can see how many tracks are on the cd and choose
which tracks to encode. Before that that it ask in which directory
should the mp3's placed...

That's all... now you can sit back and relax... and wait...
Or play some games... Some can be found from:
http://www.geocities.com/os2games

==================================================
3.0 TO-DO
==================================================

-Rewrite whole thing...
-Change the user interface more friendy... (like all in one screen)
-etc...
-Get some beer and...

FEEL FREE TO MODIFY THE SOURCE CODE OF THIS SCRIPT, I EVEN RECOMMEND YOU
TO DO SO IF YOU FIND A FEATURE MISSING AND KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT!
Just remember to send me a copy of the modified script and some sort of
description of the new features or modifications...
