GalCiv 2.12 and beyond now allow you to make scenarios very easily.

All you have to do is place an aliens.dll into your GalCiv directory
and it will automatically use those aliens instead of the pre-made
ones.

To get you started, I've included an examples aliens.dll.

All you have to do to change the alien players is to replace the
bitmaps here with ones you want to have.

Then type this:

rc aliens.rc aliens.dll

Copy the new aliens.dll into your GalCiv 2.12 directory and off you go.

In my example, I only included 3 bitmaps, you can have up to five, just
modify the aliens.rc with the appropriate file name.

---------------------------

gcships.sds

If you modify this file and place it into your GalCiv 2.12 directory, it
will read it in and use that for info on the ships.

Here's the format:
Name
Movement
Attack
Defense
Hitpoints
Cost
Technology Level Required (this can be tricky to get)
Maintenance
Reference (which ship icon it will grab from starship.dll)
--------------------------

gctechs.sds

As if it weren't cool enough to easily make your own ships, you can
also change the technologies.

the format is:

Name
Tech Resources
Tech Requirement 1 (i.e. you have to have this tech to access this one)
Tech Requirement 2
Evil Required ( 5 means neutral (available to everyone, less than 5 means
you need to be a nice guy and greater than 5 means you have
to be nasty to access it)
