1. WHY I CHOSE OS/2 (THIRD IN A SERIES)

Why are people choosing OS/2 Warp instead of Windows? These answers,
which come from a wide range of computer users, cut through the hype.

                 Because of Internet Access
                 ===========================

Dr. Eric Larson
Researcher
U.S. Dept. of Agriculture

"OS/2 slid into this environment with alacrity. It was sure nice to
just install the software and go. We spent weeks getting our DOS and
Windows machines onto the network as clients. I would never do that
again -- far too many arcane commands for a one-time installation.
With OS/2 Warp, it was dead easy. The WebExplorer in Warp is clearly
one of the best ways to search the World Wide Web. Its multi-threaded
design lets you read text while continuing to download graphics. The
one-button installation of the kit is wonderful. Literally 10 minutes
after deciding to install it, at home, I was using a SLIP connection
through the university's modem bank."

BOTTOM LINE: OS/2 Warp provides one-button access to the Internet,
surfing tools and a choice of network providers.

                  Because of its Interoperability
                  ===============================

Jim Flannery
Wide Area Network Engineer
MCI

"It works! I could not begin to put all our different hardware together
with Microsoft applications and systems and guarantee it all to work.
I've been there and it doesn't work. That's why we use OS/2."

BOTTOM LINE: OS/2 Warp is based on open, published industry standards.

2. OS/2 WARP CONNECT IMPRESSES THE EXPERTS

OS/2 Warp Connect received a 4 1/2 star rating from LAN Times reviewers
in their August 28 issue. OS/2 Warp Connect's BonusPak and Lotus Notes
Express were also big hits with the reviewers.

3. OS/2 WARP OUTPERFORMS WINDOWS 95 ON CNN

On a CNN special which aired August 26, OS/2 Warp handily outperformed
Windows 95 in a side-by-side comparison.

The CNN testers downloaded 33 files from a BBS, which took 4.5 minutes
on both systems. Then they began creating word processor documents with
AmiPro for OS/2 and Microsoft Word for Windows 95, while performing the
same download in the background.

The result: OS/2 Warp took only 4.5 minutes to complete the download,
the same length of time as without the word processor running. Windows
95 took 16 minutes.
