Installation Guide of DTC3x80/3x70/3x50/3150V Device Driver
	for IBM OS/2 version 2.x

  -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1.	Version : 1.1

    2.	Release diskette :
		- One DOS format diskette with the following files :
		  . DTC3280.ADD : DTC3x80/3x70/3x50/3150V adaptor device
				  driver for IBM OS/2 2.x
		  . README.DOC	: This release note file

Note! If above files are downloaded compressed file from DTC BBS,
the first step is to create an Install Device Support Diskette.
	   (1) Format a blank diskette. (No label required)
	   (2) Make a directory \OS2X\3280 on the diskette.
	   (3) De-compress the files and copy them to directory \OS2X\3280
	       on the diskette.

    3.	Installation:

	SPECIAL NOTE:

Before you start the installation, make sure that the two sets
of the "Interrupt" jumpers are set to the same interrupt level.
For example, on DTC3280, if the Interrupt "A" is set to level
11, the Interrupt "B" must be also set to level 11. Also if the
interrupt on the controller is used by other device in the
system, the user should change either of them to avoid interrupt
conflict. This situation may easily happen in DTC3X50 or DTC3150V.

For DTC3150V, the "BASEDEV" statement must include a "Memory
Mapped Address" option. For example is the "Memory Mapped Address"
is set to "D800H", the "CONFIG.SYS" file must have a statement
"BASEDEV=DTC3280.ADD /M:D800". Other controllers do not require
"/M:D800" option, because the address can be detected from the
	   on-board BIOS.

Also, the DTC3150V is a secondary host adapter only. There must
be a primary controller in the system to boot the computer.
The user can use the DTC3150V connecting a CDROM drive to
install OS2 2.x into an IDE disk. This driver will then run
the SCSI hard disks and CDROM drives connected to DTC3150V.

3.1 If OS/2 2.x system has not been installed.
	   (1) Make a copy of OS/2 system Diskette 1.
	   (2) Copy the file DTC3280.ADD from DTC distribution diskette
to the root directory of copied Diskette 1.
If the copy of Diskette 1 space was insufficient, delete
	       the file README.INS.
	   (3) Except 3150V, add one line "BASEDEV=DTC3280.ADD" as the
last line of the file CONFIG.SYS on the Diskette 1 copy.
` For 3150V add one line "BASEDEV=DTC3280.ADD /M:xxxx" where
xxxx is the "Memory Mapped Address" configured on the board.
	   (4) Use this copy as diskette 1, follow the OS/2 installation
	       guide to do system installation.

3.2 If OS/2 2.x,J2.1 system has been installed:
	   (1) Boot the OS/2 system.
	   (2) After system boot up complete, insert DTC distribution
diskette to floppy drive A(or B).
	   (3) Copy the file DTC3280.ADD from DTC distribution diskette
to the \OS2 sub-directory of the hard disk drive.
	   (4) Except 3150V, add one line "BASEDEV=DTC3280.ADD" as the
last line of the file CONFIG.SYS on the Diskette 1 copy.
` For 3150V add one line "BASEDEV=DTC3280.ADD /M:xxxx" where
xxxx is the "Memory Mapped Address" configured on the board.
	   (5) Shutdown and reboot OS/2 system.
