IBM OS/2 2.x/3.0 INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
________________________________________________________________

The following is the procedure for installing UltraStor SCSI controllers
14F/14FA/24F/34F/34FA/124F with the IBM OS/2 V2.x/V3.0 operating system.

1. Make a backup copy of IBM DISK 1 using the DISKCOPY command and use
the backup copy for the installation procedure.

   Example:
   c:> diskcopy a: a:

2. The diskette DISK 1 does not contain enough free space to add an
additional driver. Therefore, delete the IBMxSCSI.ADD file from the
DISK 1 backup copy to make room for the ULTRASTOR driver. Remove
BASEDEV references to these deleted files in the config.sys on Disk 1.

   Example:
c:> del a:\ibm1scsi.add (for Micro Channel PC)
   c:> del a:\ibm2scsi.add (ISA/EISA PC)

3. Copy the UltraStor IBM OS/2 ADD driver from the ULTRA 14/24/34/124
Utilities and Device Drivers Diskette to the backup diskette labeled
   DISK 1.

   Example:
   c:> copy a:\os2\ultra14.add b:

4. Modify the CONFIG.SYS file on copy of Disk 1 disk adding the following
   lines TO THE VERY TOP:

     SET COPY=1
     BASEDEV = ULTRAxx.ADD   where xx is   14 for 14F or 34F/34FA
					   24 for 24F/24FA
					  124 for 124F

5. Boot up with the original IBM INSTALLATION disk and place the modified
IBM DISK 1 into the floppy drive when prompted to do so.

6. Continue with the IBM OS/2 installation according to the OS/2 instructions.
