                              Renice for OS/2.

About this program.

Renice for OS/2 is a simple UNIX-style program that allows you to change
    the priorities of running processes.
Due to limitations of OS/2 API, renice uses its own device driver
to gain access to the internal OS/2 data structures.
This program work fine for me on OS/2 Warp with fixpacks 22 and 24
installed. I don't know, whether renice will run on Merlin, OS/2 2.1,
    or original Warp.
I have tried to make renice as safe as possible, nevertheless you should
understand that improper modification of kernel data may cause your
    system to trap, etc...
So you use this software entirely on you own risk!!! You have been warned.

Feel free to send me e-mails about possible bugs/problems of renice.

Renice for OS/2 is a copyrighted freeware. I allow you to use and
distribute it freely under the condition that I am in no way
responsible for any damage or loss you may suffer.
If you find this program useful, you therefore encouraged to send me
a personal copy of any OS/2 software, that has been written by you :) .

Installation.

Put renice.exe into directory in your PATH.
    Put devhlp.sys into d:\os2\boot\ directory.
Add a string like "DEVICE=d:\os2\boot\devhlp.sys" to your config.sys
(Here d: is an OS/2 boot drive letter.)
    Reboot your system.
Run renice without parameters to see about its usage.
    Be happy!
